Innovative Control Solutions is a UL508A industrial control panel fabrication shop located in Plano, TX. We design, engineer and manufacture control panels for a wide range of customers including the Oil & Gas, Power, and various other industrial Automation Industries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enclosure Mounting – Mounting components to enclosures. Includes measuring, marking, metal cutting, drilling, and tapping enclosures per drawings. Use of hand and power tools required.
- Panel Wiring – Wire control panels according to UL procedures. Ability to read electrical interconnection drawings preferred.
- FAT assistance – Help with factory acceptance testing including reading and sending 4-20mA signals and jumpering and monitoring digital input and output signals
- Prepare panels for shipment – Includes crating, banding to pallet, and use of pallet jacks.
Skills/Experience:
- Understanding of electrical wiring, fabrication, and testing of control panels under a UL 508A panel environment
- Visually verifies the Bill of Materials for the panel being tested in house
- Understanding of instrument and control systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and instrument loops (4-20mA)
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of power and hand tools
- Proven experience in effectively programming and integration of the following control system platforms listed below:
- Understanding of methods used to measure and mark enclosures
- Understanding of methods used to mount components
- Understanding of circuits and relays
- Understanding of electrical wiring and testing of both DC and AC.
- Ability to power up and test 120 VAC, 24VDC electrical systems (consistent with OSHA and NEC electrical safety practices).
- Visually verifies, tests electronically, and traces all wire origins and designations for accuracy and correct wire tags.
- Work overtime or weekends, when necessary, according to the production and shipping schedule.
- Maintains cleanliness in all areas of the panel shop.
- Ability and dexterity to work with duct covers and cabinets to manipulate wires.
- Ability to work extended hours when required
- Basic Computer skills: email (Outlook), label making, printing
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ability to operate a forklift is preferred but not required
- Ability to move or lift heavy objects
