Senior Editor, reporting to Associate Publisher & Editorial Director
Skyhorse publishes a broad mix of books. With 111 New York Times bestsellers, more than 12,000 books on our backlist, and a distribution relationship with Simon & Schuster, we are adding a senior editor for our Regnery imprint.
In this role you will be responsible for working with budding authors as well as seasoned authors, original manuscripts and reprints. Established relationships with a varied network that will facilitate acquisions is a strong plus.
A minimum of five years of successful editorial experience with a major US-based publishing house is required. Ideal candidates will have worked on a full range of titles, shepherding bestsellers while delivering the same level of excellence to first-time authors as to celebrity authors. Senior editor will also be responsible for metadata entry and a range of administrative tasks.
Responsibilities Include:
· Review submissions
· Manage author timelines
· Enter metadata on a timely basis
· Coordinate with production team to ensure timely pub dates
· Comfortably manage 25–35 titles per year
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $55-80k that will reflect both experience and demonstrated accomplishments.
