Under the general supervision of the Transportation/Maintenance Supervisor, the Bus Driver has the primary responsibility for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the children, staff, and volunteers during bus transportation to and from the center and on field trips. It is also the role of the Bus Driver to guarantee that the bus is clean and in proper working condition at all times; determine and follow safe and efficient bus route; ensures all children are in age appropriate child safety restraints; assist in ensuring child/staff ratio is maintained on the bus; provide day to day guidance to the Bus Monitors; maintain all transportation records required by the program; and evacuate children in case of an emergency.

Qualifications and Requirements:
-Must be 18 years of older
-Must have a high school diploma/GED
-Must have a valid Alabama Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
-Meet any physical, mental, and other requirements necessary to perform job-related functions with any reasonable accommodations
