We are on the lookout for a talented software engineer to volunteer for an exciting project: building a website that functions like ChatGPT, but focused on liver cancer information. The website will have a friendly chat interface where users can ask questions and get relevant information about liver cancer. On the backend, the system will search through web resources and specific documentation from Stanford's Asian Liver Center (liver.stanford.edu) to provide accurate and helpful answers. We are looking for someone with experience in web development, strong skills in programming languages and frameworks (especially Python) and a good grasp of information retrieval techniques like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) or HYDE. This is a great opportunity to use your skills for a meaningful cause, helping to design, develop, and test a tool that will make a real difference for people seeking information on liver cancer. If you are up for the challenge and ready to make an impact, we would love to hear from you!
