As the Principal Architect, Software Engineering at RXO, you’ll be responsible for communicating with product/Business to determine their requirements, creating comprehensive solution plans and leading a team of software engineers as they develop polished final products.
What your day-to-day will look like:

Collaborate with the product management team to define the new product lines, upgrade path for existing products and defining project scope and approach

Propose and lead the software product architecture to cover functional and non-functional requirements using Microservice design principles, integration strategies and the deployment strategies

Design and develop Microservices using cutting edge technologies such as Microsoft C#, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, Couchbase, Kafka, Rabbit MQ and Elastic Search

Define software development standards and best practices that should be followed within the software development team
- Mentor other senior and junior software engineers on the team and will make sure that the software development standards and best practices are being followed within the team
What you’ll need to excel:
At a minimum, you’ll need:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 8 years of related experience
It’d be great if you also have:
-
Master's degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience
-
5 or more years of development experience in software product architecture, design and development within a software industry
-
3 years of experience with Visual Studio, TeamCity, Octopus, Docker and Kubernetes Containers
-
Experience in architecting and developing software for scalable Infrastructure and distributed systems.

Experience in software scaling, software/hardware resource monitoring, Vertical scaling and horizontal scaling of software systems

Microservices and Domain Driven Design exposure

MVC pattern and Spring framework
-
Active advocate for quality, technical and architectural standards
