Job Summary
Schedule: Swing Shift, Monday – Friday 1:30pm to 10pm
Location: NE Portland Plant transitioning to Clackamas facility in coming weeks
The Repack Lead is responsible for assisting the Repack Supervisor and Repack Manager with the day-to-day work of the Repack operation, while performing regular duties as a Repack employee. This position also provides back-up support while the Supervisor is absent including the oversight of the Repack operation (safety, throughput, 1st time quality, sanitation and maintenance and waste).
Key Responsibilities

Support and lead activities on the Repack floor in line with good management practices and standard operating procedures, ensuring safety guidelines are followed, preventing accidents and injuries, and equipment and facility damage

Provides support of the daily/routine activities of the Repack operation to ensure 1st time quality consistently and effectively by employees.

Ensures processes and procedures are efficient and performed in a cost-effective manner

Continuously improve work methods and coordinate problem solving and troubleshooting activities.

Works hands-on on the Repack floor as needed to cover the workload, demonstrate expectations, and train employees.

Assists Repack Supervisor and Repack Manager in the personnel management of the Repack employees.

Coordinates training of new employees and the ongoing training of all employees.

Enters appropriate information into ERP system for proper documentation and tracking

Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
1+ years of experience working in a production/manufacturing environment required, food/beverage manufacturing preferred.

Forklift experience
-
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with fellow employees
-
Ability to maintain effectiveness (quality) and efficiency (productivity) in a fast-paced environment
-
Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes including safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory processes, etc.

Prior experience assisting with sensitive employee relations matters
-
Expertise in high volume candidate selection, employee development, training and engagement.

Well-reasoned decision making with a high attention to detail regarding organization, planning, work flow, and project prioritization

Demonstrated ability to present results, priorities and actions and to engage the work team to achieve those priorities.

Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise

Prior experience developing SOPs
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP experience is required

Strong Time Management skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills
