Eastern Dermatology is looking for a CMA/LPN to join our team. We are a private dermatology practice, and offer an excellent benefit package including: paid health insurance, 401(K) after 1 year, life insurance, long term disability, flexible spending, annual raises, yearly bonuses based on merit, 36-hour work week, 4 hours of paid time on Friday afternoons, and many other benefits. All locations close at 12:00pm on Fridays; Employees who have worked 36 hours by 12:00pm on Friday are paid for 40 hours, equating to 26 days per calendar year. No weekends and no holidays.
The CMA/LPN position involves working directly with well-established dermatology providers. One year of experience working in a medical office setting, assisting a physician or physician assistant is preferred. Phlebotomy skills are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient intake, including documenting medical history and verifying medications
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis
- Provide medical administrative support, including patient phone calls, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, handling prior authorizations, ordering of supplies
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Strong patient service skills with a compassionate approach
- Proficient in medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Excellent patient care skills with attention to detail and safety protocols
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Current BLS
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice
