Our organization is a community partnership between Providence Medford Medical Center and Medford Radiology Group. This partnership delivers scan services to patients, physicians, and healthcare providers throughout Southern Oregon, in a safe and lower-cost, non-hospital setting. **Job Title:** Nuclear Medicine Technologist **Overview:** We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the diagnostic evaluation of patients through the use of PET scans and other nuclear medicine procedures. If you are passionate about medical imaging, have a strong understanding of physiology and anatomy, and possess exceptional technical skills, we invite you to apply for this rewarding position. **Duties:** - Perform PET scans and other nuclear medicine procedures according to established protocols. - Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging purposes. - Operate imaging equipment to capture images of organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. - Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures. - Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret imaging results. - Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to regulatory guidelines. **Skills:** - Proficiency in nuclear medicine techniques and procedures. - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy. - Ability to operate imaging equipment effectively. - Skilled in aseptic techniques to ensure infection control. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction. - Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field. - Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). - Prior experience in nuclear medicine preferred but not required. - Willingness to stay updated on advancements in the field.
