We are looking for an independent, self-motivated, and innovative individual in this position. The Repair and Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing the skilled work for the rehabbing and
maintenance of manufactured homes, shared housing sites, and maintenance on our office building. Lifting of materials of up to 40 pounds may be necessary. Use of hand tools and power tools is required. Driving is a requirement of the position, must have a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record. Job may require working occasional evenings and weekends. This position supports the PIH Program Manager with work orders, park relationships, and rehab project completion.

Maintenance Technician

Coordinates with PIH Program Manager for initial phases of the manufactured home renovation.
- Responsible for completing the required steps to prepare homes for the volunteer phase of renovation. This includes repairing subfloors, interior wall and ceiling repair, window and door repair or replacement, basic plumbing and electrical, plumbing and electrical fixture replacement.
- Communicate project progress and estimated completion date with PIH Program Manager and Director of Housing.
- Repair and Maintenance Technician will assist the PIH Program Manager with responding to a wide variety of work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Responsible for ensuring quality and safety of work completed.
- Assist with basic repairs and maintenance on our office building and surrounding property.
- Additional duties as needed to support the agency.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have/Be:

High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years rehab/remodeling experience and 2 years general facilities maintenance experience, preferred.
- Be completely committed to the organization's mission.
- Comfortable working in a faith-based environment
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, such as climbing ladders and stairs, walking, kneeling, standing, squatting , twisting, and bending for long periods of time.
- Basic experience with drywall, painting, caulking, windows, faucets , electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills.
- Ability to use project management apps/software and communicate effectively with the entire housing program team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once with no decline in quality control.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as effectively within a team. Must be able to work well with colleagues and volunteers.
- Must be detail oriented and able to execute flawlessly on projects in a fast-paced, often pressured environment.
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to see the full scope of problem/project to diagnose core issues then generate, evaluate and implement solutions.
