Reports To: Operations Manager
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitoring and servicing of the chemicals for the onshore/offshore oil and gas fields; warehousing; ordering and logistics of chemicals. Working with Operations Manager to ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner. Rotating 14 days in field Prudhoe Bay, Alaska and 14 days off work.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Maintain safe work practices to create a safe work culture
- Maintain daily technical analysis and identification of the key points of the application needs related to oilfield applications, in particular in the O&G production industry both onshore and offshore
- Maintain the application of best practices and lessons learned in terms of "flow assurance" and "asset integrity" of oil and gas
- Support the product development and research teams for new products selection and optimization
- Provide field level technical support to the customer
- Ensure the activities necessary for a timely response to the issues or process improvements related to the application of field products
- Identify the best solution for chemical process treatments and collaborate with internal technical team to provide data to support product recommendations
- Plan/manage time for effective coverage of customer facilities, communications and other responsibilities
- Collaborate to complete chemical service documents, reports and other paperwork in a timely manner
- Train customers on product applications
- Maintain proper inventory management and chemical usage
- Maintain inventory chemical surveillance and chemical pump operating at the correct rate
Skill Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field along with a minimum of 1+ year technical sales experience in relation O&G industry. Candidates without a bachelor’s degree, but with 5+ years of upstream technical chemical sales experience will be considered
- Experience in technical support activities with customers. Focus on corrosion, bacteria, and other asset integrity issues is a plus
- In-depth knowledge of hydrocarbons extraction and production processes
- Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable individual
- Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills
- Strong people skills and ability to work with cross-functional team
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and accommodate changing circumstances
- Technical verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities and organizational skills
Communication Areas:
- Bilingual, English & Italian is a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
