- You’ll ensure services offered meet high standards of organization
- You’ll maintain contact with volunteers and community leaders to develop public relations
- You’ll complete peer, de-escalation, and terminated case file audits and offer findings, in addition to assisting with annual agency audits
- You'll help youth develop strategies that will enable them to be successful in school
- You'll develop and facilitate groups that target the needs and risks of youth
- Link youth with resources available in the community including but not limited to mentoring, faith-based services, etc.
- Drive to schools, facilities and homes to meet with youth and/ or parents as well as seek referrals
- You’ll be responsible for completing and filing reports in youth chart records
- This role works flexible hours, including after business hours and/ or weekends as needed
- You’ll participate in the strategic planning process, maintaining a pulse on the community needs and service trends
- This is an onsite position (not a remote position) at our newly renovated office located in the New Center building
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, or related discipline is REQUIRED
- Minimum 2 years experience working with juveniles is required
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must have a thorough knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office application (including Excel)
- Works great independently to meet deadlines, but also has the ability to effectively work in a team dynamic
- Familiarity with quality and success indicators
- Enjoys working with youth and is able to tailor their communication style to their audience while remaining professional
- Must have a valid driver's license and Michigan auto insurance in your name
- Must be able to drive anywhere within State of Michigan for job responsibilities
- Satisfactory DHHS Central Registry Clearance and State Police Record Check, negative TB Test, satisfactory physical examination(s)
