This position starting salary is $75,000 based upon experience. There is no relocation or sponsorship available.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing industrial processes, ensuring efficiency, and implementing improvements to enhance overall productivity.
Working within a Contract Manufacturing team environment, reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer is responsible for the following:
- Partnering with the Production Team and the Quality Team to ensure:
· Quality Control Standards are met.
· Change Control Procedures.
· Customer specifications are met.
· All Critical Control Points are achieved.
· Development of test protocols and reports.
· Development of SOP's, Process Flow Charts, Transformational Flow Sheets, Equipment Footprints and design of Data Capture Charts.
- Adopting a Continuous Improvement approach including recommending possible improvements to:
· Policies, Practices, and Procedures.
· Equipment design and implementation.
· Current equipment layout.
· Upgrades and enhancements to current equipment.
- Partnering with Sales & Marketing to develop new product lines within existing equipment and working space.
· Collaborate to develop potential for new products and to estimate production rates, equipment setup and startup times, manpower needs, ingredient tracking and documentation design.
- As part of the growing Engineering Team, to work within the site to help manage implementation of:
· New practices and procedures.
· Equipment installation and startups.
· Site Improvement Projects.
3+ years’ experience (internships are valid)
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
Demonstrated ability to:
· Follow and adapt product development principles.
· Analyze and troubleshoot.
· Understand broad engineering principles.
· Communicate effectively – both written and verbal.
· Utilize Microsoft Office products.
· Manage small (capex) projects.
· Develop Project ROI Timelines.
· Food Processing General Best Practices
· Clean Design
· Continuous Improvement Methodology
· Extrusion systems and drying, Packaging systems, and/or Spray Dryer
