Involves planning, developing, implementing and evaluating programs, activities, counseling, tutoring services and advising focused on students' academic success leading to timely matriculation and graduation. Works with students, faculty, School of Nursing (SON) Office of Student and Curricular Affairs (OSA), SON Office of Academic Programs (OAP); campus student services, such as housing, financial aid, student health and counseling, student success program, and the multicultural resource center
Independently works with the Assistant Dean of SON’s Office of Student Affairs to plan and implement a wide range of academic support programming for nursing students who are experiencing academic challenges, difficulty adjusting to a new environment, support personal problem-solving, and navigating complex campus departments and services. The incuombent will independently develop and institute wellness programs, recommend improvements in academic advising for all programs, provide assistance with problem-solving, lend emotional support, and triage students in crisis toward apporpriate campus services, In collaboration with with faculty, OSA staff, student organizations (RCOs), and School leadership including the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and the Associate Dean for Diversity, Inclusion and Community Outreach, incumbent will develop partnerships to establish and enhance existing programs and propose innovative prorgams that support student success.
