Description:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing direct, specialized literacy and numeracy instruction to classroom students
- Serving as a consultant to educational peers
- Assisting with the preparation and adoption of instructional materials
- Supporting the supervision, escorting, and instruction of students as directed
- Maintaining accurate records on student progress
- Assisting the teacher with all aspects of the daily instructional program
- Participating in staff development activities as directed
- Performing other duties as assigned by administration

Hours
35 hours a week, 7 hours a day- Elementary Schools
8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with a 30 minute duty free lunch

Qualifications:

- Excellent Communication Skills
- Basic Computer Knowledge
Physical Demands:
- Ability to read and communicate effectively with employees of the district.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, visual, and verbal form.
- Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel, or operate objects or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- May be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 20 pounds.
