Position: Clinical Therapist - Foster Care & Adoption
A Day in the Life:
As a Clinical Therapist in Foster Care & Adoption, you will be completing a comprehensive bio psychosocial (CBPS) assessment, individual treatment plan, and Child and Adolescent Needs (CANS) assessment for foster care clients ranging from infant to 21 years old. You will also be providing individual, family, and collateral therapeutic services to clients in the foster care program, their biological/foster families, and post-adoptions services.
Clinical Therapist Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a Human services field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, etc.)
- Associate or Independent Professional Licensure in the state of Kentucky (CSW, LPCA, LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, etc.)
- Experience working with children/family services within the previous two years
- Extensive knowledge of family systems, dynamics of domestic violence, substance misuse, child abuse, parenting, child development or the cycle of violence required
- Must possess strong crisis intervention skills and have firm knowledge of reporting laws
- Experience working with recovery-based treatment plans and behaviorally oriented programs preferred
- Valid driver's license, insurable driving record and reliable transportation required
