The Registered Nurse is a leadership position and is responsible partnering with the Program Directors and Social Workers for the oversight of the health and wellness care of youth in the programs. Knowledge of childhood trauma and the impacts upon youth’s physical, spiritual, emotional, mental, and vocational health is paramount. Knowledge of standard nursing care, protocols, health and physical safety, documentation, etc. is also required. The ability to forge positive relationships with youth and staff, internal and external customers at all levels, is crucial to success in this position. The Registered Nurse works closely with the Program Managers and Social Worker(s) in the design and facilitation of the program milieu and service delivery system, quality assurance measurements and agency goals. Assesses, treats, cares for, follows-up on and provides documentation for the healthcare needs of youth in care within the scope of practice for a licensed professional nurse in the state of New York. Contributes to the Glove House high performance culture by exhibiting our values and providing quality results that keep Glove House as the premier provider of child, family, and behavioral health solutions.
5+ years' experience working as a Registered Nurse and Bachelor's degree required.
Experience working with youth and families is preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license.
