Role and Responsibilities
The Lead Expeditor is the main facilitator and initial point of contact for sales and new orders, and ensuring new orders are processed; including
· Verification of quotes with purchase orders,
· Select transformers if needed
· Delete units from inventory,
· Provide packet to expeditor for write-up.
· Will assist in training new expeditors, sales reps, sales support, or other employees as needed
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to
1. Processing incoming units
- Process oil samples
- Input results in write-up
- Complete processing of ticket (repairs to sales, summarize salvage, record PCB’s, record good stock to inventory)
2. Maintaining PCB database
- Provide pricing to sales for PCB contaminated units
- Arrange 3rd party pick up of contaminated units
3. Update website with 3-phase inventory
4. Ensure process flows are followed to completion (received units, process, quote, PO or no-go)
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Required.
At least two years’ experience in inventory management, counter sales, logistics, or similar.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
Ability to type at least 40 WPM
Good oral and written communication skills
Ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of personality types
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to multitask
Comfortable working independently and without constant supervision
Willingness to work in all conditions as needed
Preferred Skills
Experience using an inventory or sales management system such as Global Shop is preferred.
Frequent travel two and from two local facilities will be required
This is not just a desk job. Although much of the time (60-70%) is spent behind a computer, the role does require getting out in all types of weather and walking an 8-acre inventory yard and locating units.
This will require –walking, bending over, etc...
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
