Job Description:
Vivmeds pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and licensed Pharmacist in Charge to join our team. As a Pharmacist in Charge, you will play a crucial role in providing pharmaceutical care and ensuring the smooth operation of our compounding pharmacy. We are looking for an individual with a strong compounding pharmacy background or a strong willingness to learn how to compound medications. An active preceptor license is a plus but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pharmaceutical Care: Dispense prescription medications, provide medication therapy management, and offer expert advice to patients.
- Compounding: Prepare and compound medications according to specific formulas, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with all federal and state laws and regulations governing pharmacy operations.
- Inventory Management: Manage and monitor pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring appropriate levels of stock.
- Supervision: Oversee and mentor pharmacy staff, ensuring proper training and adherence to pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Patient Counseling: Provide excellent patient counseling and educate customers on medication use and possible side effects.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and prescription records, keeping them confidential and up-to-date.
Qualifications:
- Licensed as a pharmacist by the Texas Board of Pharmacy.
- Strong compounding pharmacy background or a strong willingness to learn how to compound medications.
- Active preceptor license (preferred but not mandatory).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software and computer systems.
