Responsibilities
· Consulting Excellence: Deliver high-impact consulting services, driving client success through innovative solutions and strategic advice.
· Policy Development: Develop and refine program policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with industry best practices and emerging trends.
· Strategic Analysis and Planning: Conduct comprehensive analysis and develop strategies that align with client goals, ensuring effective project implementation.
· Regulatory Expertise: Provide expert advice on federal, state, and local housing regulations, ensuring client projects comply and surpass regulatory standards.
· Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, establishing trust and confidence through exceptional service delivery.
· Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to optimize project execution and achieve operational excellence.
· Knowledge Leadership: Stay abreast of trends and changes in subsidized housing regulations and practices, serving as a thought leader to clients, internal teams and the industry.
· Team Collaboration and Support: Work closely with team members to enhance service delivery and contribute to the firm’s success.
· Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning and development activities to enhance consulting skills and housing program expertise, both within the organization and with clients. This includes the development and delivery of training materials.
· Business Development: Support Sales team efforts in identifying opportunities for new business with current and prospective clients.
Requirements
· Subsidized Housing Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in subsidized housing programs and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. Specifically including, but not limited to:
o Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC)
o HOME Program
o Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8), including PBV and RAD
o Public Housing
o Moving to Work (MTW)
· Consulting and Problem-Solving Skills: Proven track record in providing high-quality consulting services, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Communication Excellence: Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients and stakeholders.
· Superior Technical Writing: Ability to prepare formal written and verbal communication with the highest level of quality.
· Technical and Analytical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in relevant software tools and the ability to analyze and interpret data to inform strategies. Specifically, high proficiency in Microsoft Applications, various Housing Software.
· Travel Capacity: Ability to travel to client sites, trainings, promotional events, or organizational meetings and gatherings.
Education and Experience
· A bachelor's degree in public administration, business, urban planning, or a related field, with preference for advanced degrees.
· Professional Experience: At least 15+ years of experience in consulting, with a focus on subsidized housing or related fields.
· Regulatory Understanding: Deep familiarity with housing regulations and the ability to apply this knowledge in a consulting context.
· Strategic Consulting: At least 7 years’ experience in strategic planning and advisory services within the subsidized housing sector.
· Professional Certification: Certifications related to federally subsidized programs, project management, or consulting are required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
