Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at an ambulatory surgery center. The ideal candidate will assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring that surgical tools are ready for use.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies, holding retractors, and cutting sutures.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure to prevent infections.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs during surgery.
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Provide patient care before, during, and after surgery.
Experience:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist, preferred.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of anatomy and surgical procedures.
- Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center, preferred
- Ability to suture wounds is a plus.
