The Executive Director of Operations and Maintenance guides strategic direction and fosters a culture of excellence among employees. The role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service and encompasses oversight of campus operations, maintenance, emergency responses, tenant improvement projects, custodial services, integrated pest management, grounds, recycling, and waste management. Additionally, in the absence of the Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) of Facilities Services or as required, this position will represent the AVC to maintain unified leadership and enhance operational efficiency.
This position calls for a sophisticated blend of technical expertise, business insight in Facilities Services-Operations (approx. 350-450 employees) and leadership qualities.
The role entails setting targets and work plans, delegating tasks to subordinate professionals, directors, and managers, and overseeing their execution. The Executive Director will review and approve recommendations for facilities management and related programs, manage resources, and direct facilities management and General Services. This position plays a critical role in shaping and implementing policies that impact immediate operations including costs, personnel, and schedules. The Executive Director will make final decisions on administrative or operational matters, ensuring the effective achievement of operational goals.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $138,400 - $335,800 (Annual Rate).
