Job Title: Passenger Service Attendant – Wheelchair Agent
Reports To: Supervisor/Manager/Dispatcher (varies by operational size of location)
Benefits: Flexible schedule 8 or 4 hour shifts, 24/7 shifts, Health insurance, pay $15.25 per hour.
Position Objective: To fulfill the passenger services obligation for airline passengers who require a wheelchair.
Huntleigh USA is looking for reliable, dependable people who can assist less-able airline customers, and elderly airline customers at the Anchorage airport. Potential employees will need to have a soft heart, and a desire to assist others to help make their travel experience a safer, more enjoyable, experience. Preferred employees to have the following characteristics:
1. Wheelchair Agents should have a solid documented work history for dependability.
2. Wheelchair Agents will show up on time, in uniform, and ready to work your scheduled shift.
3. Wheelchair Agents should have a friendly demeanor, and a willingness to communicate to those whom they assist. This will allow them to carry on conversations with the passengers who they will assist during the course of their shift.
Solicitation of a TIP is not allowed, but Most passengers who we assist, do however provide the agent with a gratuity. As the employee, you can greatly enhance your ability to EARN TIPS, by providing a nice, friendly, quality service, with a smiling face and a genuine concern for the person who you are providing assistance to.
We do have multiple shifts available, so we are flexible to work with people who currently have other jobs. Specifically, if you already have an ANC airport ID badge, this is a large benefit so please apply.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Transport passengers safely to and from required locations remaining alert to potential hazards which may cause an accident.

Provide special assistance, general information, and directions to passengers as necessary in order to provide positive passenger relations.

Project a positive and friendly image when interacting with passengers, responding to inquiries from airlines, staff, and the general public.

Coordinate with dispatcher for assignments and gate agents regarding wheelchair assisted passengers.

Comply with all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint screening requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Must have reliable transportation

Must have a reliable telephone number for contact.

Ability to read, write, speak, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test as required (DOT or Non DOT) and submit to random testing requirements.
REQUIRED TRAINING:
Must complete any applicable Huntleigh and airline specific training as required.
