Job Summary: Perform all essential/non-essential functions and to lead the warehouse team in completing all warehouse related items in an accurate and timely manner. Specific duties may vary by location.
Team Leader Positions:
- Inbound:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Receiving, Putaway and Inbound Repack
- Receive all inbound freight following written instructions and receiving procedures.
- Match receiving documents with accounting purchase orders.
- Understand and perform receiving related functions in our ERP system.
- Support inbound repack team on priority of repacks.
- Backup to drive company truck.
- Communicate with trucking companies and Supplier Quality regarding damaged goods and other discrepancies.
- Process customer and supplier returns.
- Communicate with internal personnel regarding vendor delivery.
- Outbound:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Shipping, Scheduling & Loading trucks and investigating shipping issues.
- Ensure orders with available inventory (including backorders and deviations) are picked, packed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Communicate with carriers to ensure there are no delivery issues that may cause a shipment from being delivered on time. Make sure all carriers are scheduled to pick up as necessary.
- Coordinate/Schedule expedite shipments and follow up through delivery.
- Monitor the shipping floor to ensure all shipments have been loaded, there are no damaged freight on the floor and associates are following procedures/policies.
- Understand and perform shipping related functions in our ERP system.
- Ensure all carrier/customer paperwork is completed for each shipment. Make sure all customer portals/ASN’s are processed in a timely manner.
- Work with picking team to ensure all available parts are picked in time and can be shipped on time.
Essential Functions:
- Assist Supervisor in prioritizing workload for the department and ensure associates are meeting their specified tasks.
- Assist in analysis of inventory issues
- Must be able to fill in as a backup as needed for all associates within the department
- Ability to train associates on all functions within the department
- Ensure and enforce the safe operation of power industrial trucks equipment
- Investigate and communicate inventory discrepancies to the Leadership Team
- Must be able to read packing slips, bills of lading to perform essential functions
- Assist with system audits to ensure data input is accurate and timely
- Assist with tasks as required by the other Logistics departments
- Assist in inventory processes including, but not limited to physical inventory and cycle counting
- Promote excellent cleanliness and organization (5S)
- Assist with training as requested
- Assist with system and process enhancements
- Train and perform as a first responder for the assigned shift
- Other tasks as assigned by management
Education:
- Must possess high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience/Skills/Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ experience in Logistics operations (Receiving/ Shipping)
- Must be able to maintain excellent attendance
- Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products
- Supervisory training and experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Must be able to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and averages
- Strong ability to problem solve, establish root cause and countermeasures
- Must be able to work and effectively communicate with Leadership, Supervision, Management, Coworkers, and Team.
- Must be willing to learn and perform data entry on computer system and scanner
- Work flexible hours and overtime, as needed
- Must be able to travel, sometimes overnight and on short notice
- Forklift certified (Internal Training)
- Behave in a positive manner that enhances the success of the company
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
