SUMMARY
The Sales Assistant is responsible for administrative duties within the Sales department, with a heavy emphasis on data entry, customer service, and trade show logistics. This individual will organize and assist team members to optimize sales department processes along with directing callers to desired team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Service
· Maintains excellent client service as the driving philosophy and core value of the company

Sales Assistant Duties
- Follow up with proposals & quotes via phone and email for potential clients in a timely manner, answering any potential questions and follow-up questions.
- Provide all logistical support for company trade shows, including scheduling, travel, shipping, and coordination of equipment.
- Assist with phone demonstrations for clients.
- Serve as a backup to the Service Desk team to enter service tickets into ConnectWise, detailing all relevant information.
- Create welcome baskets for newly onboarded clients.
- Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics.
- Submit daily call list to Inside Sales team.
- Qualify leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
- Document and update client records based on interactions.
- Answer potential client questions and follow-up call questions.
- Create and maintain a database of prospective clients.
- Schedule follow-up calls with clients at the completion of projects.
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the company’s evolving products and services and provide information about them to clients when requested.
- Monitor company’s STS calendar for the sales department.
- Complete any tasks assigned by leadership.
- Approach all encounters with clients and team members in a friendly & professional manner.
- Always comply with company standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
- Assist in sales office daily maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Experience coordinating trade show logistics is a plus
- Knowledge of ConnectWise system is a plus
- Must have good communication and customer service skills
- High School diploma or equivalent required
LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
· Ability to read and speak English and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and other team members
· Ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients and supervisors for optimum operation of the company
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rates, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
· Demonstrate organizational skills
REASONING ABILITY
· Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
· A valid driver’s license is preferred
