Culinaire is in search for BARTENDERS to work with an amazing team at Marisol located in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. As a Bartender, you have a unique opportunity to develop relationships with many repeat customers, as well as to meet new customers, in a relaxed environment, and an opportunity to explore the creativity with developing new cocktails.
A few important job responsibilities are as follows:
· Prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage for bar with a friendly and professional attitude and behavior
· Exhibits exceptional customers service expressed that satisfies all guests
· Assessing the customer and guest needs and preference, as well as to make recommendations for upsell
· Responsible for prompt service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
· Adhere to alcohol portion control standards
· Ensure accurate accounting and collection of payment (or tickets) for products and services rendered
· Follow specific job duties in opening/closing and side duties
· Thorough knowledge of beverage menu descriptions, abbreviations, drinks and mixed recipes
· Preparation and maintenance of stock and bar
· Communicate effectively with peers, supervisor and subordinates
· Exhibit a positive, enthusiastic attitude committed to a teamwork effort
· Responsible for channeling any customer concern or complaint to management immediately
· Excellent awareness of job-related safety hazards, and knowledge with proper safety and processes procedures, particularly with serving alcohol with age verification
· Maintain workstation in compliance with health and sanitation codes
· Ensure compliance with health and safety codes and policies
· Adhere to, and enforce, the state alcohol laws and requirements
Job Requirements:
· Two (2) or more years of high volume bartending
· Alcohol and Food Safety Certification a plus
· Maintain a positive and professional attitude and behavior
· Able to stand and walk the entire shift
· Carry, lift, pull and push up to 50 lbs
· Dependable to work regular shifts, including holidays
