Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a large plaintiff-side litigation law firm that represents regional, national, and Fortune 500 companies across various industries in both federal and state courts. We specialize in Wage & Hour, Class Actions, Complex Litigation, the Private Attorneys General Act, the California Labor Code, and Labor & Employment.
We are seeking an attorney with 1 to 3 years of civil litigation experience to work out of our HQ in Glendale, CA. The ideal candidate will play a key role in handling a variety of employment-related cases, working closely with senior attorneys, and contributing to the overall success of our firm.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law matters.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Represent clients in administrative proceedings, mediation, and pre-trial.
- Assist in case management, including document review, case strategy, and client communication.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement legal strategies.
- Stay current on changes in employment laws and regulations.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in California
- 1 - 3 years of experience in civil litigation
- Motion experience as well as taking and defending depositions.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines at a time
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat required
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a professional environment and maintain a professional demeanor in all situations, including the ability to remain calm and efficient during stressful situations
