Preschool/Early Childhood Integrated Special Education Classroom Teacher - Students with Disabilities Birth-2 Certified or Certified Eligible
The Teacher is the transdisciplinary team leader.
CERTIFICATES: NYS Special Education Permanent certificate or Students with Disabilities Birth-2 or actively working toward certification.
A Teacher must be able to consistently and successfully perform the essential functions of the position.
● Establish and monitor individual casebooks, data collection and charting systems
● Manage behavioral challenges
● Supervise and manage activities of aides assigned to the classroom
● Assure that appropriate curriculum is established and implemented
● Organize an effective classroom environment
● Administer appropriate and effective instructional strategies
● Coordinate and collaborate with related services team
● Collaborate and effectively communicate with families and external service providers
● Demonstrate professional knowledge of children with developmental disabilities
● Demonstrate professional writing skills
● Assure deadlines are met
● Adheres to the mission of Bornhava: To nurture and educate children with special needs through play, while empowering their families.

Pay: $34,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
