RAMP OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Role Purpose Statement: The Ramp Operations Supervisor at LSG Sky Chefs is responsible for overseeing all ramp activities. This role ensures that our vehicles are loaded in a timely and efficient process, overseas safety and compliance for all drivers, and that our product is delivered to the aircraft while meeting the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The supervisor will lead a team of employees (team size 12-15), ensuring efficient operations and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Location: Located near SEATAC airport
Hours: Need flexibility as our operations run daily over multiple shifts.
Main Accountabilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of ramp personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of catering supplies, equipment, and other materials onto aircraft according to strict airline specifications and tight schedules.
- Ensure unwavering adherence to safety protocols, security measures, and all regulatory requirements to safeguard the well-being of staff and airline partners.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of catering supplies and equipment loaded onto aircraft, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
- Effectively allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize productivity and meet operational demands while minimizing costs.
- Maintain clear communication and collaboration with airline representatives, ground handling agents, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless ramp operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time performance, productivity metrics, and service quality standards. Prepare reports for management to facilitate performance evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge required
- In addition, one to three years of related work experience required
- Problem solving and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop and lead others to obtain desired results & achieve productivity goals
- Working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA and EPA regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic and demanding 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills required along with the ability to multi-task.
Pay: $64,216.00 - $79,796.00 per year
