ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receiving
Receiving of raw materials or products, updating inventory records to show the new items, placing items in their proper location for appropriate inventory organization and management. Use of equipment such as forklifts, hoists and dollies to accomplish same. Responsible for providing bills of lading and packing lists to production manager/accounting department (as provided in Company procedure).
Private label raw materials: all of above, plus fill out receiving report and submit that day to production manager.
Inventory Control (Raw Materials)
Pure & Gentle raw materials: Proper storage of received raw materials or products. Use of forklift or other equipment to properly store received raw materials or products. Monitoring of inventory levels of assigned critical raw materials (see attached list), and reporting to production manager and purchasing manager on same on weekly basis. Coordination with production manager and purchasing manager on setting of appropriate reorder points for assigned critical raw materials.
Private label raw materials: Proper and segregated storage of raw materials. Monitors usage and ensures proper storage of raw materials, preventing shrinkage or damage to raw materials. Fill out usage report and submit that day to production manager.
Finished Goods and In-Process Goods/Shipping
Responsible for storage, inventory control, transport and shipping of finished goods. Maintains proper and segregated storage of finished goods until shipped. Note on daily reports to production manager the amounts of each product SKU.
Other
Assist with Pure & Gentle production as necessary.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. General related experience or previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
3. Ability to read and follow instructions.
4. Good understanding of the English language including verbal, written, and reading skills.
5. Ability to communicate effectively with others and work as part of the team.
6. Ability to learn new tools, equipment and processes.
7. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Comfortable working in an non air-conditioned environment during seasonal conditions.
9. Ability to work variable hours including overtime and weekends as needed.
10. Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 20 – 50 lbs., bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time.
Skills
Skill with material handling equipment. Ability to accurately count and note materials. Organized and consistent.
