Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Schools
Position Description:
The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services. This position calls for five full-time SLPs (Pre-K and elementary caseloads). Caseload range is around 60-65 students for full-time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ communication skills (e.g. articulations, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, etc.) for the purpose of identifying communication disorders, determining program eligibility and developing recommendations for treatment
- Coordinate meetings and processes for eligible students
- Develop treatment plans, interventions and/or educational materials
- Maintain files and/or records (e.g. progress reports, activity logs, treatment plans, required documentation, screening results, etc.)
- Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars (e.g. training, IEP, ARD, IFSP, team meetings, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information
- Provide speech and language therapy to students
Minimum Requirements:
- 1099 Contractor
- ASHA SLP License and Texas SLP License
- Minimum Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders or related field
- Demonstrate excellence in verbal and written communications
- Experience with collaborative groups and processes in a student-centered environment
- Other qualifications of academic, professional, and personal excellence as the Governing Board may specify
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- CF-SLP's may apply
- guarantee hours per week (excludes holidays, school closings, etc)
Physical/Work Environment Requirements:
- Sitting, standing, walking as needed
Experience:
- School-aged children: 1 year (Preferred)
- Clinical: 1 year (Preferred)
