The Trust Company:
The Trust Company is an independent Wealth Management firm serving individual and business clients. Core services are focused on financial planning, investment management, and fiduciary administration. The Trust Company provides expertise for the following types of account relationships: personal & business trusts; discretionary investment agencies; decedents’ estates; qualified retirement plans & IRAs; and charitable foundations.
Primary Accountability:
Responsible for the processing of incoming checks, outgoing distributions, and the payment of client bills. Performs other miscellaneous duties at the discretion of the Operations Officer.
Major Duties:
- Leads activities related to the processing of incoming checks, outgoing distributions, and the payment of client bills and tax payments.
- Processes Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions for incoming deposits or distributions out from clients, client contributions received or loan payments.
- Processes Bank Wires - posting from accounts and initiation and transmission on bank website.
- Collaborates with Client Service Teams to verify accuracy of information during and following the new account set-up process; daily e-mails and workflow including transfers between client accounts, transfers to/from our corporate bank, closing of client accounts.
- Maintain best practices/ standard operating procedures for the operations team and collaborate with the client services teams on the maintaining of theirs for tasks that relate to the operations team.
- Other duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
- Attention to details, basic typing, computer and software skills are required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs is preferred, specifically Excel.
- Prior experience in investments, banking or business is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and in team settings to show flexibility and versatility.
- Ability to manage a variety of tasks and prioritize individual workload responsibilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate with others to achieve desired outcomes and build a good rapport with colleagues.
- Ability to work with strict confidentiality requirements, as well as exercise good judgment in the preparation and distribution of confidential information.
- An interest in pursuing continuing education opportunities, degrees, or certifications that will further expand knowledge for adding value in this role.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time; adjustable stand-up desks are available upon request.
- Ability to read computer screens, mail, e-mail and talk on the phone.
- Ability to unpack and move supplies up to twenty-five (25) pounds.

- Professional and deadline-oriented environment in an office setting.
