Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
- Conduct assessments to track children's progress and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's learning and development
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior
Experience:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning
- Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for children
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff
Skills:
- Math: Ability to introduce basic math concepts to preschool-aged children through hands-on activities and games.
- Tutoring: Experience providing one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to support individual student needs.
- Classroom: Knowledge of effective classroom management techniques, including creating a positive learning environment, establishing routines, and managing transitions.
- Physical education: Ability to incorporate physical activities into daily lesson plans to promote gross motor skills development.
- Daycare: Understanding of the unique needs of young children in a daycare setting, including providing care, supervision, and age-appropriate activities.
- Behavior management: Skill in implementing positive behavior management strategies to encourage appropriate behavior and address challenging behaviors.
- Childcare: Knowledge of best practices in childcare, including health and safety regulations, nutrition guidelines, and age-appropriate activities.
- Curriculum development: Ability to design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards.
- Lesson planning: Proficiency in creating engaging lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods and resources.
- Early intervention: Familiarity with early intervention strategies and techniques to support children with developmental delays or disabilities.
