The Computer and Information Systems (CIS) Manager plans, coordinates, and directs computer‐related activities by determining the technology needs of the company and making hardware‐ and software‐related decisions to meet those needs.

Responsibilities
- Prioritize all aspects of any new project and schedule employees for the creation and implementation of the project. Also manages the daily operation and integration of all aspects of the PC network (LAN's, and WAN's) to ensure timely support services and minimum downtime.
- Install and support PC/LAN/WAN hardware, software, peripherals, communication links and technology; providing organizational project support, and managing department technology projects. Guides Delivery Systems and Technical Services Managers on personnel issues including employee evaluations, hiring recommendations, promotions, and corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain all the policies, standards and procedures related to the system and provides published instructional manuals and documents to help users effectively use the system to support the organizational and business goals and to ensure the security of company data and data systems.
- Develop annual technology plan ‐ performs research, evaluates, recommends, seeks funding, and develops capital and maintenance budgets for all aspects of the credit union's LAN's, WAN's, and PC systems. Develops IT policies and procedures.
- Conduct research, identify vendors, develop requests for proposals (RFP), analyze proposals, and recommends sound strategies for both small and large‐scale technical projects.
- Develop and update the Disaster Recovery Plan for the company in concert with internal requirements and the requirements of external governing agencies.
- Develop reporting processes that track and monitor performance and make appropriate adjustments for improvement as might be necessary from time to time.
- Update operating procedures and issues written and oral instructions to computer operators to ensure maximum productivity and utilization of the computer capacity.
- Accountable for administering and maintaining all security programs, both internal and third‐party systems and advising management of any potential security threats.
- Collaborate with users, vendors, technicians, and managers to understand and assess computing and system needs and requirements.
- Evaluate current technology use and needs of the company and recommends software and hardware improvements.
- Oversee backup, security, and user help systems.
- Remain current on advances in technology.
- Provide technical support to users.
- Implement and oversee operational budget and expenditures.
MUST HAVES:
- A bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Technology, or related field of study.
- 5+ years management experience in applications and technical services.
- Able to quickly learn new technology and apply knowledge to solve technical and business programs.
- Able to work as a member of a team in daily operation of the Credit Union.
- Able to maintain a business‐like composure with others in stressful, high‐pressure situations.
- Great decision‐making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Thorough understanding of CIS principles, programs, policies, activities, and procedures.
