GENERAL SUMMARY
Lead the production, technical support, design, and sales of water-cooled copper products for specialty melting, including titanium. Strong organizational and design skills needed to manage suppliers, engineer processes, and plan production for timely delivery with high quality standards. Proficiency in 2D & 3D modeling is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 & AS9100 quality standards in daily operations.
· Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance product designs, focusing on cost efficiency and reliability improvements.
· Engage with existing and potential customers to identify and document specific requirements, coordinating with colleagues to meet customer needs effectively.
· Coordinate estimating activities across departments to meet customer quote requests promptly, while continuously striving to optimize our competitiveness and maximize our profitability (ROI).
· Track and manage the status of open bids to successfully meet established due dates.
· Develops components and assembly drawing that are necessary for the successful manufacture of product (machining, fabricating, assembling and testing) using CAD.
· Utilize Manufacturing ERP system to develop material requirements, part ID’s, manufacturing process routings and define work scopes. Utilizes knowledge of various CNC machines, welding and test equipment, manufacturing processes, mathematics, material of construction and other physical sciences to develop manufacturing drawings and specification (design for manufacturability).
· Provide constructive feedback to colleagues for ongoing improvement, ensuring open communication and information exchange. Address any concerns with management to resolve issues effectively.
· Review closed job cost data to improve estimating accuracy and update engineering and quote masters accordingly to establish more efficient performance standards.
· Improve efficiencies and accuracies in quoting processes.
· Coordinate technical developments, scheduling, and problem resolution on projects.
· Communicate with customers, occasionally traveling to understand site-specific needs and discuss budget considerations.
· Recommend ideas to improve worker efficiency and reduce material waste.
· Prepare and manage project milestone schedules, adhering to customer drawing and process specifications.
· Create manufacturing process plans using the ERP database, ensuring implementation of current techniques on the shop floor.
· Develop manufacturing drawings and specifications, managing the drawing database for accuracy.
REQUIREMENTS
· Solid Works
· GD&T and design for manufacturability
· Excel, Microsoft Word, Access, ERP systems and database management.
· Must be a US citizen.
DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· 10 plus years of experience in manufacturing techniques and processes, to include; C.N.C. machining, welding, fabrication, painting, special processes and nondestructive test methods is required.
· B.S. in Engineering

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
· Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of organization.
