Overview:
The Assistant Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for supporting the Director in NY and in Lebanon in the execution of a comprehensive annual fundraising plans. This position works collaboratively with advancement team members to promote alumni participation, grow the alumni chapters, and achieve annual fundraising goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of alumni relations and fundraising, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Principal Accountabilities
· Assist with planning and execution of alumni engagement events, receptions, and programs locally and worldwide
· Recruit, train, and manage alumni volunteers to support advancement programs and initiatives
· Oversee alumni communications including website, email campaigns, social media, and print mailings
· Develop and execute comprehensive annual fundraising campaigns and appeals
· Utilize alumni database and tracking systems to identify, qualify, cultivate and solicit donors
· Prepare regular progress reports on alumni relations metrics and annual fundraising status
· Collaborate with annual giving staff to upgrade donors to major gift prospects and renew existing donors
· Represent alumni relations and advancement in meetings with alumni, donors and campus partners
· Support Alumni Association board relations and engagement
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Bachelor degree required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum 2+ years of experience
· Strong organizational, project management and communication abilities
· Proficiency in MS Office and fundraising CRM platforms
Required Skills
· Excellent written and verbal English language skills
· Excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills with experience of working with and influencing senior staff members
· Excellent attention to detail and the ability to edit others work
· Willingness to work evenings and weekends in support of the wider department is required
· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
· Proficient in social media
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
