Role and Responsibilities
Machine Operators I must have a strong understanding of the machines they work with and are responsible for ensuring our company produces on-time quality parts for our customers. In-depth training may be required to prepare a Machine Operator for their daily duties. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Ability to start and stop the machine safely without supervision.

Ability to place unfinished parts and remove finished parts from machine safely.

Monitor machine operation.

Check part quality with designated measurement instruments. Understand when and how to stop machine safely.

Assist in the maintenance, and repair of machinery.

Operate tools and machinery to aid the manufacturing process.

Perform periodic checks on equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Oversee the machine while executing tasks and make necessary adjustments to improve results.

Produce quality parts according to manufacturing targets and schedules as directed by the Plant Manager.

Record all machine actions and log completed parts for record keeping.

Assume responsibility for ensuring the duties of this position are performed in a safe and efficient manner.

Keep a clean and orderly work area.

Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Plant Manager.
Qualifications and Education Requirements

High school diploma or GED required. Adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of diploma or GED.

Willingness to follow written or oral work instructions and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to learn and improve to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Preferred Skills
-
Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility.

Familiarity of various manufacturing tools and machinery including but not limited to facers, lathes, CNC’s, and other mechanical machinery.

Bilingual language skills in English and Spanish.

Ability to work well with others, be organized and detail-oriented.

Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time.

Willingness to work in shifts that may include early or late hours, weekends, or overtime if necessary.
