Responsible for the general maintenance of facility equipment and the cosmetic appearance of the overall property. Including but not limited to:
- Plumbing
- Troubleshooting
- Painting/Drywall
- Air filter changeouts and coil cleaning/washing
- Handyman
- Landscaping maintenance
- Vehicle maintenance

The maintenance team member is responsible for executing and supervising daily operations of general maintenance mechanics and managing tradespeople on assigned, relative to corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance projects. The position reports directly to the General Manager.
Other responsibilities:
- Oversee the supervision of maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
- Be hands-on, and ensure timely completion of projects by maintenance technicians
- Perform routine inspections on-site
- Prepare technical reports and maintain logbooks as required
- Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable fire, health, safety and environmental standards, as well as relevant state, local, and code
- React in a timely manner with a sense of urgency to emergency situations
- Coordinate maintenance and modification projects with appropriate departments to ensure minimal guest interruption
Qualifications
- High school diploma, trade school certificate preferred
- One (1) to three (3) years’ experience combination of education, training, and experience preferred
- Must be well-organized with the ability to prioritize in response to changing circumstances and function in a fast-paced environment
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- General woodworking and repair knowledge
- Must be able to understand the fire panel operation and respond in an alarm condition
SKILLS
- Basic plumbing/repairs
- Basic troubleshooting skills for kitchen and restaurant equipment
- Basic electrical repairs and ability to identify/perform breaker resets
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to move throughout the cafe during scheduled shift (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists
- Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear
- Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders
- Ability to occasionally, regularly, and frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds
- Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion
- Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work independently without a close supervison
