Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality patient care and ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications. Responsibilities: - Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently - Maintain inventory levels and perform medication stock management - Utilize medical terminology to accurately interpret prescriptions and medication orders - Prepare sterile products using aseptic technique, including IV infusions - Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate medication therapy - Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and guidelines Skills: - Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of pharmacy practices - Experience in acute care or critical care settings preferred - Knowledge of inhalation medications and administration techniques - Familiarity with aseptic technique for sterile product preparation - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction - Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure Requirements: - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred but not required - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of pharmacy technician training program is a plus - Valid pharmacy technician license in the state of employment, if applicable Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
