License/Certification: Current CRT License Required (California Radiologic Tech)
Full license or limited with knowledge of bone density preferred, but not required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Provide essential service of generating X-Ray Images of the body for diagnostic purposes, in accordance with the company policies and procedure manuals.
- Performs all exams related to X-Ray with skill, accuracy and in a timely manner
- Assure markers are set appropriately
- Perform appropriate equipment QC
- Maintain suite readiness for audits
- Prepare patients for specified radiological procedures, using appropriate positioning, and shielding as indicated and within scope of practice
- Greet patients
- Maintain needed logs for QC
- Handle provider correspondence regarding reports, stored films and outside records
- Transports patients into the exam rooms and positions patients appropriately for radiographic imaging.
- Assists patients onto the exam tables
- Must interact positively with patients
- Must be highly effective in communication with patients
- Prepares patients for their test
- Assures patient removes all items that could cause an artifact or superimpose anatomy on X-ray images.
- Explains appropriate procedures to patients
- Assures patient privacy at all times
- Attends to patient health care while patient is in the Department
- Assures patient records are private and secure at all times in accordance with HIPA.A.
- Assists with clinic room turnover during down time
- Helps maintain equipment
- Authorizes any work to be done in X-ray rooms, as directed by Management.
- Maintains, organizes and sanitizes room, and equipment daily
- Perform appropriate infection controls processes.
- Maintains a safe workplace free of clutter
- Practices safety measures and radiation techniques to minimize hazards and radiation exposure of patient and staff
- Operates the X-ray equipment using proper X-ray safety procedures
- Follows all Safety Data Sheet
- Screens all females at an age potential for pregnancy
- Keeps current on X-ray techniques with improvement of personal qualification through education programs, conferences, workshops and additional reading materials. Obtains appropriate CME to maintain CRT licenses and ARRT certification.
- Observes and maintains patient confidentiality
Other Duties:
Helps with office and administrative responsibilities including obtaining prior authorizations. May be assigned other duties that will contribute to the efficiency of operations

Pay: $27.97 - $33.69 per hour
