The Investment Center, Inc., headquartered in Bedminster, NJ, is a leading registered securities broker-dealer. We are currently seeking a Receptionist to join our Operations team. The receptionist is the first line of contact for many of the visitors to our office and should be professional not only in appearance but in their work ethic.
**THIS IS A TEMP TO POTENTIAL PERM POSITION – 6 MONTHS+**
- The Receptionist will arrive at work and be ready to go by 8:30 AM Monday through Friday with the exception of given Holidays. Their day ends around 4:15 as they are responsible for delivering all outgoing mail to the Post Office which is located very close to our office.
- The Receptionist is given 1 hour for lunch and the phone system is turned over to the Operations area while they are out.
Responsibilities
- Answering all incoming calls to the firm with the exception of the trading area, as all calls to trading go to direct to that area. The phone calls come in on a computer based phone system and the individual will be trained on how to use this system.
- All outgoing and incoming overnight packages which must be kept in a separate log. (Fed Ex, USPS, UPS, etc.), maintaining and tracking adequate supplies for all our overnight carriers, and maintaining the Postage on the Postage machine in our mailroom.
- Maintaining and ordering all office supplies through W.B. Mason
- Printing out the firms New Account letters, Update Letters, and any other mailings the firm sends out. The Receptionist is responsible for putting the letters into envelops and placing postage on them for mailing.
- From time to time the receptionist may be asked to help on special projects which consist of various tasks from other departments.
