Position Summary:
The Sales Director is responsible for driving the sales strategy, managing the sales team, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets and revenue growth. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, customer relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance sales performance and business growth.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, training, and motivation to achieve optimal performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and strategies.
- Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes.
- Ensure effective sales processes and methodologies are in place to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to the executive team.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to align sales strategies and initiatives.
- Participate in high-level sales negotiations and contract agreements with major clients.
- Drive continuous improvement in sales techniques, tools, and processes to enhance sales effectiveness.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in sales and management, preferably within the supplement or health-related industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong experience in managing and leading a sales team.
