Human Resources Intern
We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern to join our dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for HR and be eager to learn and contribute to the success of our organization. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Human Resources Department with recruiting for seasonal staff, employee customer service, and administrative and special project tasks.
Recruiting:
- Post open positions with outside sources.
- Review incoming resumes and applications.
- Schedule and conduct phone interviews.
- Coordinate in‐person interviews.
- Extend offers of employment.
- Conduct background checks.
- Conduct new hire orientations, including facility tours and compliance training.
- Ensure proper completion of necessary paperwork and communication with
- Payroll.
Other Responsibilities:
- Respond to employee inquiries.
- Assist with administrative projects, including annual compliance mailings for
- benefits programs and annual benefits open enrollment.
- Create and maintain personnel files.
- Coordinate company‐wide appreciation events including annual Holiday Item
- and Adopt‐A‐Family programs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Student pursuing a Human Resources or related business degree is required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Previous office experience is preferred.
Typical Work Schedule:
Position typically requires 32-40 hours per week. Dependent on class schedule and time of year (summer break, winter break, etc.).
