1.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for following and enforcing all documented procedures for the receiving, stocking, returning, and issuing of materials and reports to the Plant Manager. This position is also responsible for the safety of everyone working in the receiving area and the pipe yard.
Specific responsibilities may include:
· Ensure that all personnel, both Westbrook employees and others, work in a safe manner and follow all Westbrook safety policies, including, but not limited to the proper use of all vehicles (e.g. forklifts, trucks) and wearing proper PPE.
· Ensure that all materials and quantities listed on the supplier’s packing list agree with the actual materials received and that the packing list is in agreement with the Westbrook purchase order. Make note of all discrepancies on the supplier’s packing list and the Westbrook receiver.
· Visually examine all materials, packages, etc. for obvious damage or non-conformities and note these on the supplier’s documents and on the Westbrook receiver.
· Ensure that the material delivered meets the quantity, dimensional, alloy material and construction specified in the Westbrook Purchase Order governing the receiving.
· Assign the applicable heat code for the received material and ensure that the heat code is noted in the Heat Code Logbook and on the Receiver.
· Ensure that the assigned Westbrook heat code is applied to accessible outside surfaces of each mill bundle to maintain material traceability.
· Ensure that all Material Test Reports have been furnished and confirm that all of the heats delivered are included on the MTRs and the packing list.
· Check each supplier delivery to ensure that the supplier is on the Approved supplier Listing.
· Ensure that all pipe is stored safely and in its assigned area.
· Perform monthly physical inventories of pipe.
· Ensure that all materials to be shipped out for heat treating are done so in a timely manner.
· Regularly check the stock of major consumables such as cutting oil and coolant, saw blades, etc. and order replacement material in a timely manner.
· Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks along with the movement of material around the pipe yard as required.
· Delivers shipments of non-stock items to the appropriate department.
· Other duties as assigned.
2.0 REQUIREMENTS
2.1 EDUCATION AND TRAINING
· High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
2.2 EXPERIENCE
· Pipe and pipe fitting manufacturing experience.
2.3 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
· Above average knowledge of our products and inventory system.
· Exceptional knowledge of part numbers for finished and distributed products.
· Proficiency with the AS400: Activity screens, Ticket Routing and Inventory Transactions.
· Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with inter-company departments.
· Able to think clearly, logically and critically.
· Must be self-motivated and Company/Customer oriented.
· Forklift Certification
2.4 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY
· Must be able to stand, and/or walk for up to 3 hours at a time.
· Must be able to exert 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 lbs. of force frequently, and/or constantly move objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
· Must be able to vertically lift 35 lb. object 3 foot high.
· Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements.
· Exposure to production environment.
· Exposure to hot and cold weather.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
