We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join our team on a part-time basis.
Position Overview:
The Facility Security Officer (FSO) will be responsible for managing and overseeing the security program for Ábaco Strategy LLC, ensuring compliance with all applicable government regulations and company policies. The FSO will play a critical role in safeguarding classified information and maintaining the security of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Clearance Processing: Manage personnel security clearances, including initiating, tracking, and maintaining clearance records for employees and consultants.

Security Training: Conduct security training and briefings for employees, ensuring they understand and adhere to security policies and procedures.

Inspections and Audits: Prepare for and participate in security inspections and audits conducted by government agencies, ensuring compliance and addressing any findings.

Incident Reporting: Investigate and report security incidents, violations, and suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.

Access Control: Oversee access control measures, including issuing and managing badges, keys, and access cards.

Document Control: Ensure the proper handling, storage, and destruction of classified and sensitive information.

Security Plans and Procedures: Develop and maintain security plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and emergency response plans.

Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact with government security representatives and other external stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) or in a similar security role.

Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.

Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of security regulations, and best practices.

Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using security management software and tools.
Working Conditions:

Schedule: This is a part-time position with flexible hours. The FSO may be required to work outside of regular business hours as needed.

Location: The position is remote, with occasional travel to the office and other sites as required.
