Position Overview:
- We are seeking a talented and experienced Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3-D design, project planning, and execution of large-scale landscape projects. This role requires a creative visionary who can seamlessly integrate natural elements with architectural structures, ensuring the delivery of aesthetically pleasing and sustainable environments.
Key Responsibilities
3-D Design and Visualization:
- Utilize advanced 3-D modeling software to create detailed and realistic visualizations of landscape designs based on client preferences and specifications.
- Develop concept sketches and detailed drawings to present initial ideas and refined designs to clients.
- Update and revise designs as needed to reflect client feedback and project requirements.
Project Planning and Management:
- Lead the planning and execution of large-scale landscape projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and the crew to ensure project requirements are met.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
Site Analysis and Consultations:
- Conduct site visits to gather information for design development, including soil quality, climate, and grades.
- Attend consultations and meetings with the salesperson to discuss project scope, design ideas, and client requirements.
- Identify potential challenges and opportunities for landscape development.
- Document findings and incorporate them into design proposals.
Design Development:
- Create innovative and sustainable landscape designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, and environmental considerations.
- Integrate natural elements, structures, and features to create harmonious and visually appealing landscapes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate the latest design practices and innovations.
Construction Documentation:
- Prepare detailed construction documents, including plans, sections, elevations, and specifications.
- Collaborate with the landscape crew to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, design changes, and client communications.
Client Communication:
- Regularly communicate with clients to discuss design ideas, preferences, and requirements.
- Present design concepts and updates to clients, ensuring clear and effective communication of the vision and progress.
- Address client feedback promptly and make necessary adjustments to designs and plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field. (Not required but preferred)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape architecture, with a focus on large-scale projects.
Proficiency in 3-D modeling software (e.g., Uvision).
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead project teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $59,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
