Position Summary:
This position is responsible for checking raw castings for defects, will operate and monitor the shot blast machine, and process rework and packaging of all parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Select product specific production programs and adjust the machine settings; such as gauges, track systems, etc.
· Fill up shot blasting grains and forward grain samples for analysis
· Monitor the machine parameters, make corrections of deviations and/or inform the team leader
· Perform visual inspections and remove remaining burrs and metal penetrations
· Separate and process good, scrap, and rework accordingly
· Perform tooling and work piece inspections; such as grinding wheels, electrical cords, burr height, etc.
· Carry out routine maintenance and repairs according to specifications
· Eliminate smaller disturbances and repair other problems
· Assure 100% compliance with safety regulations within the department
· All other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED required
Additional Skills:
· Ability to work in team based environment
· Ability to use or willingness to be trained using forklifts, cranes, electric pallet jacks, etc.
· Ability to use computer and knowledge of software, MS Office, etc.
· Ability to transfer knowledge and train other team members
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. continually
· Ability to work in a hot environment
· Ability to continuously climb stairs
· Ability to walk and/or stand constantly throughout shift
· Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, etc.
· Ability to constantly do repetitive motions throughout shift
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.10 - $21.70 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
