Position Summary:
To assist laboratory engineer in setup, running, and cleanup of engineering experiments. Experimental equipment includes but is not limited to: Hydrate Rocking Cell, Flow Loops, Viscometers, Optical Microscopes, HP/HT Autoclaves, etc.
Essential Functions:
- Understanding and carrying out all tasks given by the laboratory engineer.
- Collaborating with others to design, develop, and test products.
- Performing regular inspections of equipment and scheduling maintenance or repairs.
- Providing assistance to other laboratory staff as needed.
- Calibrating and troubleshooting equipment as required.
Qualifications:
- Be highly organized and able to follow a systematic method of performing a task.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Skills & Abilities:
- Computer Skills: Strong background in MS Office applications required.
- Customer Service Skills: Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
- Work Ethic: Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible.
- Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55 gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.
Work Environment:
A laboratory environment in a controlled atmosphere building.
