Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Nurse Manager to lead our Nurse and Client Care teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing and legal case management. This role involves coordinating medical-legal matters, managing medical records, and providing expert medical insights to support our legal team.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze medical records to assist attorneys in understanding medical facts and issues relevant to legal cases.
Provide expert medical opinions and insights on cases involving medical malpractice, personal injury, and other healthcare-related legal matters.
Coordinate and manage medical-legal matters, including case evaluations, chronologies, and summaries of medical records.
Oversee the preparation of legal documents, such as affidavits, declarations, and medical summaries.
Liaise with healthcare providers, clients, and legal professionals to gather and clarify medical information.
Identify and recruit expert medical witnesses for case evaluations and testimony.
Educate and train legal staff on medical terminology, procedures, and issues relevant to their cases.
Participate in case strategy meetings, providing medical expertise and insights to support case development.
Ensure compliance with relevant legal and healthcare regulations and standards.
Desired Skills & Experience
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience
Proficient in personal injury law involving motor vehicle accidents preferred
Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and critical thinking skills
Detail oriented with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience working in a fast-paced high-volume environment
Job Requirements

Strong understanding of medical terminology, healthcare procedures, and legal processes.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal research tools (Filevine)
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Education Requirements
Registered Nurse (RN) with a current and valid nursing license.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
Certification in Legal Nurse Consulting (LNCC) is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a legal nurse consulting role
Working Conditions:
Office environment and various offsite venues. Normal business hours with after-hours events as necessary to satisfactorily perform job function.
