Our projects are larger in scale and typically take a few months to a year to produce. Responsibilities:
- Complete field measure or verification as needed for as-built plans.
- Produce accurate existing, schematic, bid, permit, and construction sets of drawings in a timely manner to meet designated deadlines for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with vendors and clients for scheduling of internal and client meetings, site measurements, plats, etc.
- Participate in estimate review meetings episodically throughout the development of design, adjust designs to ensure they’re meeting client & budgetary requirements.
- Support assigned project architect in client meetings with taking detailed notes & providing follow-up contact with clients as required.
- Support assigned project architect on large projects with design development, editing drawings, etc.
- Participate in and lead meetings with clients on assigned projects, being able to accurately and thoroughly describe decisions made in development of schematic drawings.
- Ability to engage clients in thoughtful discussions around project design development to ensure designs meet clients needs and expectations.
- Schedule and lead client meetings as it relates to design development
- Monitor and report any cost implications of scope creep or changes in design to client and DLT, coordinate with Estimator as needed.
- Able to locate and interpret local code (or resourceful in finding interpretation) for project localities.
- Specify and obtain written client approval for all exterior finishes
- Complete all required documentation per project locality guidelines and submit for permit for projects assigned or support assigned project architect.
- Attend required internal meetings to help with project development, budget, and/or hand-of to the production team.
- Be willing and able to support production team as project is being built and address questions/concerns from project manager
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Revit
- 1-2 years of professional experience with clients
- Degree in Architecture or related field
Preferred Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience in a design to build firm.
- Minimum Bachelor of Architecture degree
- 3 years of experience working with clients in design development
- Proficiency in Google Drive
