We are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery with our overnight team. You’ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Our company provides continual on-the-job training to learn and assist in finding better ways to improve the end product. Our goal is to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.
Machine Operator Job Responsibilities:

Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle

Control and adjust machine settings (e.g., speed)

Feed raw material or parts to fully & semi-automated machines

Adjust production equipment such as clearing jams, product changeovers, etc.

Clean up and blow down machinery; assist setting up equipment for production runs

Inspect and troubleshoot the operation of the machines with precision and measuring tools

Fix and/or report mechanical issues that might occur during the shift

Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws

Perform quality checks on packaging to ensure all produced products meet quality standards

Keep records of approved and defective units or final products

Follow SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) for production equipment

Keep work area organized and safe by utilizing 5S.

Machine Operator Job Requirements:

Proven experience as a machine operator (2-3 years preferred)

High school diploma or equivalent technical work experience

Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)

Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)

Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals

Attention to detail

Strong communication skills
-
Ability to stand, bend, reach, squat for long periods of time

Ability to lift heavy material (up to 50 lbs)
